Scout Series - Ultra

The Scout Ultra borehole camera with Electric Smart Winch represents the most capable inspection system in the ProxyViz lineup, designed for professionals who require maximum deployment range, advanced handling control, and the highest level of inspection capability in the field. Built on the same core ProxyViz imaging technology, controller, and software platform as the rest of the product family, the Ultra package expands the system with a larger, more capable deployment platform and additional features that support deeper wells and more demanding inspection conditions.

At the center of the ProxyViz Ultra system is a large-capacity professional reel capable of holding up to 250 m of tether, enabling inspections in deeper wells while maintaining reliable cable management and deployment control. The reel incorporates an Electric Smart Winch for effortless deployment and retrieval as well as a precision level-wind system that automatically distributes the tether evenly across the spool, preventing tangles and ensuring smooth payout and retrieval.

The Smart Winch provides smooth, precise control of the reel drum through either the integrated rocker switch or directly from the ProxyViz hand controller via the ProxyViz application. Operators have full control over deployment and retrieval speed and direction, making long inspections less physically demanding while improving overall efficiency.

Because the winch features a non-back-drivable gearbox, the reel remains securely locked in position whenever the motor is not running, eliminating the need for a separate mechanical brake. This provides greater control and peace of mind during inspections.

The Smart Winch is powered by its own dedicated M18™ battery pack, ensuring that winch operation has no impact on the camera system's runtime. The winch is designed to remain permanently mounted to the reel, and the complete system still fits inside the standard ProxyViz hard carrying case—no additional storage or transport case required.

The standard camera configuration includes a downward-facing Single Camera that delivers clear visual inspection of the well interior. For advanced inspection applications, the system can be upgraded to the Dual Camera configuration, which adds a sideways-facing camera with a panning mechanism for full 360-degree viewing of the pipe interior. Both camera options include an integrated pressure sensor for water depth, allowing operators to capture valuable well profile information throughout the inspection process.
